Using this technology we are able to create a highly detailed 3D image of your teeth, gums and other oral structures that to used to create a custom prosthetic or oral device. This digital, model-less process is not only more comfortable for patients in the chair it dramatically cuts down on turnaround time, improves fit accuracy and eliminates almost all the waste products that traditional oral impressions create.
In some treatment cases it may be more appropriate to turn these high resolution renders it 3D printed models, not dissimilar to the hard negative model that has been cast from a hardened dental putty impression, unlike their predecessors 3D printed models from intra oral scans offer a comprehensive view of the intricate details within the mouth with significantly less waste.
The biggest benefit of a 3D printed model is the technicians ability to test occlusion and fit of the device or prosthetic to ensure maximum comfort and correct contact before presented to the patient. Again minimising potential discomfort and time in the chair.
